Lyn Dundee, B.A., M.A., M.Sc. (Industrial/Organizational Psychology)

As a behavioural science researcher and practitioner, my experience spans a variety of industries and public institutions in Canada, Cuba, and the United States. My focus throughout my work is to improve culture, mitigate inter-generational gaps, and instil inspiration and empowerment among employees, their managers, and the executive within each organization.

My offerings consolidate rigorous and ongoing research, formal education and a breadth of experience to map out, then implement tailor-made strategies to guide disruption and change, inspire talent, and craft a cohesive culture of collaborative growth within each organization I partner with. I intimately understand modern day organizational stresses, and provide key choices grounded in research, current industry insights, and proven strategies that work.

Foundational to my work over the past 15 years is to transform traditional 20th century management approaches into relevant and contemporary management strategies that heighten collaboration, strengthen inter-team communication, and foster an authentic synergistic relationship between employee development and the evolution of our organizations. The assessment process is a cornerstone of my practice as it is proven to significantly increase successful hiring and retention rates, and inform succession planning and professional development practices which, in turn, lowers human capital costs - both financial and psychological.

  • Selecting and Developing Talent

    Formerly known as Profiles XT, this assessment offers cognitive, behavioural and interest-based results to answer whether a job candidate has the ability, performance attributes, and desire to meet the requirements of any position. PXT Select™ is a multipurpose "Total Person" tool that provides actionable data and responses that may be used for selection and succession planning as well as individual coaching and development purposes or team alignment.

    PXT Select™ is administered only once, yet any and all of the suite of reports tailored to selection, onboarding, coaching and developing employees can be printed at no additional cost at any time. A personalized summary of results tailored to your specific application will be provided with the delivery of the reports to meet, and often exceed, your expectations. Further, I am available to comprehensively guide you through the results in order to ensure full implementation of all the information provided by this assessment tool.

  • Millennials as Leaders Workshops

    According to 2016 research (Deloitte), only 15 percent of organizations comfortably rate their future leadership bench strength as strong. Leadership selection and development is consistently a top concern to organizations everywhere.

    Given the size and scope of the Millennial demographic within our workforce, this workshop teaches skills tailored to Millennials to prepare the next generation of supervisors and management. Topics addressed in this workshop include: crafting the ideal workplace, managing ‘up’, and creating meaningful work. The use of assessments like PXT Select™, the VIA Institute of Character Strengths and Jungian Typology (made popular through Meyers Briggs/MBTI) are available to strengthen Emotional Intelligence and resilience in order to prepare our young adults to lead top-performing teams and manage change.

  • Leading with Millennials Workshops

    This workshop offers a clear, research-based personality profile of the Millennial generation, and an easy-to-follow map that shows how and where inter-generational attitudes and behaviours intersect. We will explore the Millennial mindset,breakdown Millennial myths and find common ground to mind the generational gaps.
    Inter-generational perceptions, stereotypes, generalizations and common assumptions are addressed to break down the walls that divide our labour force based on age-diversity. In addition, a selection of assessments are available to choose from to form greater self-understanding, a cornerstone of EQ, which ultimately leads to a wider understanding of our people and the environment that surround us. Ultimately, present-day managerial strategies to lead and prepare our up-and-coming leaders are presented, providing a platform of practices ready for immediate use.

  • 21st Century HR Support

    Many, if not most organizations realize the value of implementing an assessment program to hire, develop, and promote people within their organization. Assessments are a cornerstone of this practice that serve well to promote greater self-understanding, a cornerstone of EQ that leads to a wider understanding of the people and environment that surround us. Recognizing ability, behaviour, interests, and competencies can easily be mapped to identify opportunities, whether in terms of placement or succession planning (with increased rates of performance and retention) within your organization.  ​

  • Crafting Corporate Culture Workshop

    According to a Deloitte 2017 report, 86% of organizations cite culture as a very important issue that proffers competitive advantage but only 20% worldwide are confident they have it right.
    Clear evidence exists to prove that a strong corporate culture, with meaningfulness of work at its core, is a 21st Century company’s most strategic asset that directly affects a company’s bottom line and creates an enduring and unique competitive advantage. This workshop introduces a comprehensive and clear definition of organizational culture and explores specific strategies to assess, build, sustain, and measure corporate culture where profit and purpose both thrive. The positive outcomes of such a culture include significantly decreased workplace absenteeism, presenteeism, employee turnover, and workplace mental health costs, as well as increased profitability, mental wellness, stay intentions, and customer satisfaction.

  • Managing Disruption and Change Workshop

    Every organizational change, whether great or small, requires directives related to manage both the project and the people management side of the initiative. Whether an organization affords resources solely allocated to change management or not, managerial oversight and approaches to execution can be invaluable. This workshop introduces fundamental competencies and skills to guide employees, from front-line through the C-Suite, through change. Whether an organization is introducing a small-scale change or considering a large-scale restructure, these change management best practices and protocol is an invaluable resource that can be applied to any change initiative.
