At the age of sixteen John started a lawn business which grew into nearly 1/2 million dollar a year organization by the time he was twenty. “It was a great start in the business world, it was during that time I earned a business degree in the school of hard knocks,” says John.

“Although I wasn’t clear what was in store for me, I was positive it was not in lawn care,” said John. He left the company and went on to work in sales, became a sales manager, and eventually started working in plants. John spent five years working for an international cement company and another five years managing three power plants. It was during that time John realized, that the greatest advantage you produce in business - is people.

John lives in Norton Shores, MI and has been happily married to his wife Melissa for twelve years and have four children.

John has multiple coaching certificates from PCCI, is a member of Olivet Church, AHRM, Ambassador for the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce, and is an Authorized Partner of Wiley, and Authorized Partner/ Accredited Facilitator for the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team®.
